After much thought and deliberation I am happy to announce my candidacy for State House of Representatives District 14. As many of you may know, this decision was made in hopes of beginning the process of redefining the role of government in our lives. District 14 has many social and economic challenges that will take a common sense approach to solve. It is time we the people (the community) start electing people that want to serve the community and do the hard work it will take to return our community to our people. It is about the people-not the party.
District 14’s seat has been held for several terms by ineffective representation. Our crime rates continue to increase, taxes continued to be levied on those of us that can afford it least and our children are leaving our schools not only without graduating but unable to read.
It is time to call an end to bureaucratic waste, its time to hold our officials accountable, its time to make our budgets transparent and its time to move in a direction that removes government out of our homes, out of lives. It is time our voices are heard.
I will not make promises I cannot keep, I will only promise that when elected I will work with those other representatives of all Floridians to move toward a place where all Floridians are once again in charge of their destinies. So it is in the spirit of a statesman, that I ask you to join me on this journey to Tallahassee a journey where limited government becomes the solution to more jobs, better education and lower taxation.

We are officially kicking off our Five For Freedom Contest. Between now and October 31st we want you to get five other concerned citizens to contribute to Sarah’s campaign. We know you and many others want to bring transparency and accountability back to government. Surely, there has to be at least five more people, just like you, that would like to see our government working for us instead of against us.
To ensure this message makes it to Tallahassee, each person that brings five new donors to the campaign will be invited to the Sarah Lovett victory party on November 4th. The person who brings the most new donors will receive a special gift and recognition at our event.
Unlike you, many people do not realize that our state legislators are an important key to protecting our freedoms and liberties. And many more fail to realize that most candidates spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to be elected to the position. You have to wonder why someone would spend over $100,000 to be elected to a seat that only pays $28,000. We all know Sarah is just the person to prove that the deepest pockets don’t always win elections. That is why this contest isn’t about the amount of the donation but the number of donors. Its about the people.
